This campground is located in the pine forest in the foothills of the Sierras, east of Lake Tahoe. It is a great option for RVers and is well maintained, with a gorgeous enclosed pool and lawn area with a childrens playground. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the park is close to the Apple Hill area. The last mile of road leading up to the campground is narrow and full of potholes, so RVers should take their time. The sites are back in only and not very level, and there is no sewer service at the sites, but there is a honey wagon that will dump each rig on M, W and F. There is no cable, but TV Antenna picks up Sacramento stations very well. There is a ghost town with a clubhouse and activity area, and breakfast, lunch, and dinner are available there. There is also a lot of stuff for kids to do, such as swimming, horseback riding, and movies.

Ghost Mountain Ranch RV Resort is a 350-acre private campground located in the Sierra Mountains, offering traditional RV camping, rental cabins, and a vintage ghost town complete with a saloon, ice cream parlor, and general store. The resort features a large, crystal clear swimming pool, a stocked fishing pond, miles of hiking trails, and hundreds of square miles to explore by horseback. The campground is pet-friendly and offers a dog park and leash-enforced trail walks and hikes. Ghost Mountain Ranch RV Resort is closely monitored by staff to ensure the safety and enjoyment of guests. Free Wi-Fi is available in the clubhouse and pool area.
