What others are saying about this campground
Sly Park is a great destination for camping and day trips, located just an hour away from Sacramento. It offers a variety of campgrounds to meet different needs, from Pine Cone which is right on the water, to Hilltop, Kamloop, and Dogwood which are more private and further away from the lake. The lake offers plenty of activities, including swimming, kayaking, boating, and fishing. There are also plenty of hiking trails, including a 9.5 mile loop with a waterfall. The campground is well-maintained with fire rings, picnic tables, and vault toilets. There is no running water or showers, but there are spigots for drinking water and a general store nearby for essentials. Cell service is only available at the entrance kiosk. It is a great spot for families, with plenty of activities for children and adults alike, and it is dog-friendly. There is plenty of space for social distancing, and the camp host drives by multiple times a day to keep the bathrooms clean.
