Jones Valley Inlet Shoreline Campground is a first-come, first-serve campground located in Shasta-Trinity National Forest. The campground is open for camping from March 1 to May 31, and no camping is allowed from June 1 to February 29. Overnight camping costs $15 per night, and day use costs $10 per day during the open season. The campground offers tent and trailer camping, portable restrooms, and trash receptacles. There is no drinking water available on site. The campground is operated by Shasta Recreation Company, and a valid California campfire permit is required for the use of campfires, charcoal fires, portable stoves using gas, jellied petroleum or pressurized liquid fuel during fire season. The campground is located 9 miles east of Shasta Lake City and is easily accessible from I-5. The campground offers dispersed camping and is an easy difficulty level. The closest towns are Jones Valley, Shasta Lake City, and Redding. Firewood is not provided, and visitors are advised to be aware that firewood can harbor insects and diseases; transporting it can move these pests to new locations.
