Mountain Gate RV Park in Redding, CA, is a good location that is right off the I-5. The sites may be a bit small, but the park is peaceful, even with some highway noise. The back-in sites are larger. There are no firepits, but each site has a picnic table. The weather was the reason we werent able to use the pool and hot tub but we heard that they were clean and well-maintained. The laundromat is also clean and costs $3 per wash and $3 per dry. The camp host was accommodating when we had to change our plans due to snow and bad weather, which forced us to extend our stay by 3 nights. The location is great for those who want to explore Redding or go to Shasta Lake. The park is well-kept and neat, despite having some full-timers. It is a good spot for a stopover or to stay for a few weeks while exploring the area.
