Ridgecrest Fairgrounds Campground is a great spot for travelers passing through the area. It offers full hookups with 20, 30, and 50 amp power, water, sewer, and a dump station. The bathrooms and showers are relatively clean and the office staff are friendly and helpful. The campground is located near the Trona Pinnacles, a great spot to visit, and is close to the China Lake Naval Air Station, so you can expect to see and hear military aircraft in the area during the day. The campground has a paved trail right outside the grounds, and occasionally hosts events such as weddings and amateur bands. The park has free wifi, however it is not always reliable. Verizon and AT&T cell service is available, but the download speeds vary depending on the time of day. Coin laundry is available for $3 wash and dry. The only downside is that the hot water is off for some reason. This is a safe place to stay, however some campers may feel a little uneasy at times. The price of $500 a month is fair.
