GenieSummary

This campground is a great spot for those looking to semi-rough it and get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Located just 5 minutes from CalFire and off Highway 16, it is surrounded by tall grass, low rolling hills, and trees that provide plenty of shade. It is a 14-day BLM campground with no water, but a creek running between the campground and hills. Fire pits and horse poles are available, and visitors must use a horse or pile rocks to create a “bridge” to cross the creek for hiking. The campground is mostly quiet, except when a big rig drives by on the highway or people pull off to use the toilet. There are no hookups, but there are taps to fill up water tanks and a dump station. The camp hosts are friendly and efficient, and the campground is kept tidy and orderly. It is a great spot for white water rafting, and is very close to the Cache Creek Casino and Resort.
