The campground is adjacent to the Samoa Dunes Recreation Area, managed by the Bureau of Land Management, which is popular for ATV riding. The campground is located just 5 miles south of New Navy Base Road, accessible by turning west on HWY 255 and crossing the Samoa Bridge from Eureka.
