The campground offers many amenities, including a fantastic 6-mile hike that runs right alongside the lake. The Hookd bar and grill is great if you want some good beer, although we didnt eat there. The RV sites with concrete pads fill up quickly, but there are plenty of open green areas that give it an uncrowded feel. The disc golf course is really excellent but can be crowded on weekends. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the campground is clean and well-maintained. However, the campground is underfunded and neglected, leading to infrastructure crumbling, only 30 amp in most RV sites, and small, crumbling pads for RVs. The campground should be better managed and better funded to reach its full potential as a spectacular campground.

From The Campground

Cachuma Lake offers a variety of camping options including tent, trailer, and RV camping, as well as yurts and cabins. The campground features a marina, swimming pools, hiking trails, disc golf, and fishing. The Neal Taylor Nature Center offers educational programs and activities for visitors. Hook'd Bar & Grill is available for dining. The campground also has a Quagga & Zebra Mussel Prevention Program in place.
