Friis Campground is a small, isolated campground located in Los Padres National Forest. It is nestled in a large grove of oaks and offers a peaceful retreat for campers. The campground has 3 sites available on a first-come, first-serve basis. There are no fees for camping, but visitors must have an Adventure Pass ($5/day or $30/year), or Annual Interagency Pass, Senior Interagency Pass, or Interagency Access Pass. The campground has picnic tables, toilets, and parking, but no water. Visitors must pack out all trash and adhere to a 14-day stay limit. The closest towns are Santa Margarita and Atascadero.
