What others are saying about this campground
This campground is a great spot for camping close to the South Bay Area. It is situated in a dreamy redwood forest and has a creek running through it. There is an entry fee of $6 per vehicle and the lot is often full. The campsites are walk-in and each have a picnic table and a large food locker. There are shared restrooms with plumbing scattered throughout and the campground is full of magnificent redwoods. The trails start steep and then mellow out once youre on the ridge line. It is a short walk up a paved path from the parking lot to the campsites. Be aware that there are Lyme-carrying ticks in the area. There is enough shade and sea breeze to stay cool, even during the summer. The RV sites are parking spaces on asphalt and only for smaller units. The park closes its gate at sunset but you can get a code for access at night. Verizon phone and data cards do not work in the park due to the terrain. There is also a public park nearby that hosts outdoor weddings on Saturdays.
