Oak Park is a great campground located on the west end of Simi Valley, close to Moorpark. It is a county park with 16 sites in the lower campground and 13 group sites up above. The lower campground has electric and sewer hookups, a dump station, flush toilets, and water. It is shaded by giant oak trees and has a basketball court, horseshoe pit, and hiking trails. The upper campground can accommodate bigger rigs and has distant sound of traffic on the 118 fwy. The campground is close to the Ronald Reagan Library, Santa Susana Pass, and many hiking trails in the area. Unfortunately, the lower campground is right next to the train tracks that run constantly starting at 5 AM. There is a $25 fee to use the dump station in addition to the $30 a day fee for the camp site.

Oak Park is a rustic 100.5 acre open space park surrounded by gentle, rolling hills and an abundance of coastal sage scrub brush. The park supports a multitude of California native wildlife species, such as a raptors, roadrunners, sagebrush lizards, and alligator lizards. The park is ideal for group RV camping in a secluded setting.
