This campground is located in the historic town of Sonora, California, at the junction of Highways 49 and 108, just outside of Yosemite National Park. It features full hook-up sites with large grassy areas and picnic tables. The campground is self-check-in and the management is very helpful and works hard to maintain the grounds. There are a variety of sites and utility options, including 50 amp with water and sewer. The sites are level, with some shade in selected areas, and the open field in front of the campground can be bumpy to drive through. The campground is conveniently located near downtown Sonora and is a great spot to visit the nearby caves, wineries, Big Trees, and Yosemite. Restrooms and showers are available, but the restrooms are old and require a code to enter. The campground is also a great value, with rates starting at $25 for full hookups.
