Campground by the Lake is a popular camping destination located in South Lake Tahoe, California. The camping season runs from May (weather permitting) through the end of October. The campground offers dry sites with no electric or water hookups, but water is available at the campground entrance and a few community (shared) water spigots are located in each loop. The campground is currently served by one main restrooms facility located in D loop and a small restroom facility located in F loop. The campground is ADA compliant and offers access to an ADA compliant site upon request. Due to the construction of a new recreation and aquatics center, the restroom facility located in C loop is closed. The campground is impacted by daytime construction noise, no matter what site is selected. Before making your reservation for 2023, all campers are hereby notified of construction noise and other construction-related impacts you may experience during your stay. No refunds will be issued due to noise.
