Fallen Leaf Lake Campground is a beautiful park nestled in the tall pines of Lake Tahoe. The campground offers 200 sites that are spread out and separated by meadows, providing plenty of privacy. Although there are no hookups, there is a dedicated fresh water fill spigot. The campground is close to Fallen Leaf Lake, Lake Tahoe, and the Tallac Historical area, and is also within walking distance of Camp Richardson ice cream store. It is important to note that there are bears in the area, so all food and items with a scent must be locked up in the bear lockers. Restrooms are provided with pay showers throughout the park, and trash cans are bear proof. There are pull through sites available, but they are not very level and the roads are narrow and windy. This is a great campground for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of South Lake Tahoe and enjoy the beauty of nature.
