What others are saying about this campground
Christie Campground in Susanville, CA is a lovely place to stay. The campground offers quiet, starry nights and easy access to a recreational lake. The hosts are friendly and knowledgeable, and the clean bathrooms provide flushing toilets. Although there are no showers in the campground, the lake serves as a refreshing alternative. The sites are very spacious and reasonably level, although they are fairly close together, providing little privacy. However, the big trees and shady spots are enjoyable. There is a limited cell coverage in the area, but the peaceful surroundings provide a perfect opportunity to disconnect from the world and take advantage of the amazing outdoors. Lastly, there is a nice 10-mile paved trail that is accessible from the campground, which is ideal for hiking or biking.

From The Campground

Christie Campground is located in the Eagle Lake Recreation Area of the Lassen National Forest. It is situated in a mature conifer forest of pines and firs, on the southwestern shoreline of Eagle Lake, at an elevation of 5,100 feet. The campground has 47 sites, with 25 of them designated as reservation sites. The other 22 sites are walk-in sites, available on a first-come, first-served basis. Each site is equipped with a paved parking spur, table, and campfire ring/grill. Almost half of the sites feature a pull-through parking spur and nine of these sites are large enough that they have been designated as group sites. The campground offers OHV riders almost direct access to the Forest Service riding trails and roads and is preferred by kayak and personal pontoon fishing enthusiasts.
