Lake Skinner Campground is the perfect destination for outdoor enthusiasts. Located near Temecula, California, this large, well-maintained park offers a full range of camping amenities, including tent, partial, and full hookup sites, a camp store, fishing, biking, bathrooms, and day use areas. There is plenty to do here, from kids play grounds, fishing, and hiking to watching the Hot Air Balloons launch. The park also has a splash pad, park for kids, open space for kites, cornhole, and a place to launch boats and kayaks. During the spring, the campground hosts a Balloon & Wine Fest, where kids can play and ride bikes. The sites are fairly crowded together with little to no shade, but they are spacious enough to fit two trailers and have a picnic table, fire pit, and small shade tree. The lake is great for fishing and kayaking, but visitors should be aware that there is an extra fee for fishing and the lake can get quite low. The campground is also home to a Temecula Farmers Market on Saturdays and the local area provides wine tasting, restaurants of all kinds, food shopping and fuel along with other stores. Unfortunately, the park can get quite noisy on the weekends, with lots of music and mayhem from the visitors, and the rangers go home at 10pm, so they cant control it. However, during the weekdays, the park is peaceful and quiet, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy nature.

Nestled in the rolling hills of Winchester, CA, beautiful Lake Skinner Recreation Area offers visitors expansive natural vistas and invigorating recreational opportunities, including camping, picnicking, splash pad, hiking, horseback riding, sailing, and fishing. All boating activities must be non-body contact (no swimming, skiing, etc.)
