This campground is located in Salton City, near the Salton Sea, and is a great place to stay for those looking to explore the area. It is usually quiet and not crowded, except for two times a year when the Air Flying Jamboree and Jeep Festival are held. The park offers a variety of amenities, including an exercise gym with several machines, a huge TV, 6 showers and toilet stalls for each gender, a gravel dog walk area, a pool and spa, a clubhouse, a library, a game room, and a laundry. The park has changed ownership a few times in recent years and has a rundown appearance, but the staff is friendly and welcoming and the monthly rate for a full hookup pull thru site is reasonable. There is a slight odor from the septic vents scattered throughout the park, and the power supply, water, and sewer hookups are on the wrong side for some rigs. The park is very quiet at night, except for a few resident owls, coyotes, and morning doves.
