What others are saying about this campground
Woods Valley Campground is a secluded and peaceful campground located 30 miles from San Diego. It is surrounded by trees and dramatic rock formations, and offers a variety of camping spots for all types of campers. The roads throughout the campground are dirt and heavily rutted, and the campground is well kept. There are full hook-up sites, 30 amp power sites, and a few sites with water and 20amp service but no sewer hookup. The campground also offers a swimming pool, laundry facility, and a fishing pond with plenty of shade trees and some grass. There are also miniature ponies, pigs, and chickens kept in enclosures. The campground is a great place to take the family, with a rec room, horseshoe courts, and white picket fenced, grassy play areas. It is also close to Bates Nut Farm, which has a huge pumpkin patch and craft festival in October.

From The Campground

Woods Valley Kampground is a family run park for families! RV camping is allowed anytime but RV’s bathrooms must be in working order as BATHROOMS are CLOSED NIGHTLY except on weekends. Tent camping is allowed on weekends only with a 2-night minimum and the pool is open. The campground is surrounded by Cottonwood and Oak trees, walking together beside the giant Sycamores in the foothills of San Diego’s North County. Escape thoughts of the everyday run-around as you explore two nearby streams, one of which runs year-round and feeds our fishing pond. Kids who camp with their parents learn life skills and build strong bonds with their siblings as they hike, bike, boat and explore the natural beauty of California.
