From The Campground
New Hogan Lake is a scenic lake located in the Sierra Nevada foothills in California. It offers exciting fishing, waterskiing, hiking, and hunting opportunities. The lake has 13 recreation areas, including Acorn Campground, Coyote Point Group Campground, and Oak Knoll Campground. There are also several day use areas, including Fiddleneck Day Use Area and Wrinkle Cove Day Use Area. The lake offers electric and non-electric campsites, primitive campsites, and group camping. Fishing docks and fish cleaning stations are available for fishing enthusiasts. The lake also has bike trails, equestrian trails, hiking trails, and water trails. Swimming is available at the beach and there is a swimming pool. The lake is managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and offers discounts for age and disability passes.
