Campground has a variety of sites to choose from, some with full hookups and some with just electric and water. We chose the full hookup sites and were pleased with the level concrete pads and the nice fire rings. There is a nice lake view from most of the sites and the bathrooms are clean and well maintained. The campground also has a nice store and a cafe overlooking the lake. The campground is located near the lake and offers a variety of activities such as a water park, boat and kayak rentals, and fishing. Lake Casitas Campground is a large campground located near a beautiful lake in California. It offers a variety of camp sites with full hook-ups, electric and water, and some just with electric and water. The lake is also known for its great fishing. The sites are well maintained, with level concrete pads, nice fire rings, and lake views from most of the sites. The bathrooms are clean and well maintained. The campground also has a nice store, a cafe overlooking the lake, and a childrens water park. Unfortunately, the lake is currently at 30% due to the global warming and an exceptionally dry winter. The campground is also known for its large groups and loud campers, but they usually quiet down after 10:00 PM. There is only 30 amp service in the full hook up sites, which can be insufficient during hot weather for a 40+ RV. The campground charges a $7.50 reservation fee, and $3 per day for pets. The store across the street from campground F also charges a premium price and has expiration dates on the products, so make sure to check them before purchasing.

From The Campground

Lake Casitas Recreation Area is a campground surrounded by wilderness areas. It is home to a variety of animals, including deer, coyotes, mountain lions, skunks, bobcats, raccoons, opossums, many species of birds, and ground squirrels. The campground offers executive and basic hookups, playgrounds, and park showers. Reservations can be made up to 90 days in advance of your departure date, and camping is open to full capacity. The campground has a 2-night minimum when reserving weekends and a 3-4 night minimum when reserving holiday weekends. The Snowbird Program is available from September 25, 2023, to March 22, 2024, with fees ranging from $45 to $63 per night. The campground has a reservation cancellation policy, and fee increases are scheduled for July 1, 2023, for annual permits, camping group areas, Snowbird program, and trailer storage.
