Rincon Parkway is a unique campground located along the Pacific Ocean and PCH, just 8 miles north of Ventura and 20 miles south of Santa Barbara. It offers 127 dry camp asphalt spots, each with an incredible view of the Channel Islands, seals, sea lions, whales, and dolphins. The campground is dog-friendly and has a 1 1/2 mile beach, although access to the beach is difficult at the northern end due to a high seawall of boulders. The campground is totally dry camping, with no services available, and a reservation system is in place with fees of $28/night and a $1/head pet fee. The downside is that there is a lot of noise from the highway and railway line, and the area is known for thieves, so extra caution is advised. However, the view and access to the beach make it a great spot, and its the lowest cost beach camping available in Southern California. The best part is that the entire passenger side of the RV faces the ocean, so you can watch the sun set each night with no obstruction.
From The Campground
Rincon Parkway is a scenic stretch of roadway located between Faria Beach Park and Hobson Beach Park on Highway 1 off the Ventura Freeway. It offers outstanding views of the Pacific coastline and the Channel Islands. The Parkway has 127 parking spaces available for Recreational Vehicle (RV) use. Tent camping is not allowed per County of Ventura Ordinance. All RV’s must meet California Health Code Section 18010, as there are no electrical hook ups, dump stations, shower/bathroom facilities or water onsite.
