Shoshone RV Park in Ventura, CA is a lovely campground located about an hour from Furnace Creek. It has full hookup RV sites with plenty of shade, and a cozy tent area. Although it costs $35 per night, considering that it has everything a KOA has, and is located near a national park, this is a reasonably priced campground. The campground provides free Wi-Fi and has a fantastic warm water pool, with cute pupfish around. The grass is great for pitching a tent, but most of the guests are RVers. It is within walking distance of a village that has a store, fuel stop and saloon. Also, nearby, free dispersed camping in BLM land is available. A quick drive to Tecopa is worth it for visiting the free hot springs, food from Kit Fox Cafe, beer from Death Valley brewery, and hiking and food at China Ranch Date Farm. It is a safe and quiet spot, but there are small little rules such as locking the bathroom, and the shower in the mens room doesnt lock. All in all, a great spot if you need all the amenities. Its a beautiful location with views of hills and the surroundings are very peaceful. Coyotes might wander through in the evening, so watch out for pets. Nature trails are available too! A real surprise to find this gem of a campground and a great place to stay overnight or for a few days.

From The Campground

Shoshone RV Park is located at the north end of the Village next to the natural warm spring swimming pool and nature trails. It is one mile from the southeast entrance to Death Valley National Park. There are 25 full hook-up sites and many campsites under the open skies or sheltered by trees. The facilities include a laundromat, restrooms, showers, library, community room and a fire pit. We also have lovely vacation rental homes available through the RV Park.
