This campground is located in a beautiful area close to Lassen Volcanic National Park and Indian Falls swimming area. The upper camping area is mostly a trailer park with gravel and steep terrain, making it difficult for young children to ride their bikes. The restrooms and showers need cleaning and updating, and there are not enough laundry machines for the amount of people. The manager is helpful, and there is a great bike trail on the west side. The lake is beautiful and perfect for those with jet skis or speed boats. The staff driving the golf cart around can be rude. The website is a bit misleading, and they charge an extra $10 for holidays. Pull-through sites are available, but they may be difficult to access with large vehicles.
