Whiskeytown National Recreation Area offers a variety of camping options for visitors. The campgrounds include Oak Bottom Tent, Oak Bottom RV, Brandy Creek RV, Brandy Creek, Sheep Camp, Peltier Bridge, Horse Camp, Crystal Creek, and Dry Creek. Each campground has its unique features and amenities. Oak Bottom Tent and RV campgrounds are open year-round and offer potable water, showers, and flush toilets. Brandy Creek RV campground is also open year-round but has no toilet. Brandy Creek, Sheep Camp, Peltier Bridge, Horse Camp, Crystal Creek, and Dry Creek campgrounds are open seasonally and offer vault toilets. Horse Camp is the only campground where camping with horses is allowed. Dry Creek is a group camping area near the shore of Whiskeytown Lake. The campgrounds are close to various recreational activities, including hiking, fishing, and boating.
