From The Campground

Wells Cabin Campground is a beautiful high-elevation campground located in Mendocino National Forest. The campground has 25 units surrounded by red fir forest and offers vault toilets, tables, stoves, and fire rings. This campground is not designed for RV's or trailers. Visitors can enjoy the beautiful high-elevation scenery and visit Anthony Peak Lookout, which is a mile away, for excellent views. Please note that this area has burned in a recent fire, and downed trees, dropped limbs, stump holes, and unstable terrain may be present. Trails may not be cleared, and visitors should avoid parking under dead standing trees.
