GenieSummary
Azalea Campground in Wilsonia, CA is a great place to be if you enjoy being surrounded by beautiful nature. The campground is conveniently located near Grants Grove and offers large, first-come-first-serve campsites that welcome larger vehicles. Although there is no infrastructure, everything is very clean and the water is good to drink. The campground has potable water, flush toilets, sinks for doing dishes, dumpsters/recycling, and fair/good Verizon service throughout the stay. Pets are allowed too! The area is completely serene and calming as an off-season experience, and we loved seeing deer pass by our camper in the morning. We also enjoyed watching the beautiful fog rolling in in the morning and the surprise of bears sniffing around at night. Just keep in mind that there was no soap in the bathrooms, but there were sinks outside for washing dishes. It was ironic to see food bits in the sink when the park strongly warns against attracting bears. Overall, we stayed 5 nights and enjoyed every bit of it. This spot is definitely going in our favorites list!
From The Campground
Azalea Campground is located in Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Parks. Each campsite has a large food storage locker that is resistant to bears when properly latched. Pets are permitted within the campground but must be leashed at all times.
