What others are saying about this campground
Quechan Casino in Winterhaven CA is a great alternative to desert boondocking for RVers. It offers a large, level, hard packed dirt or sand parking lot with plenty of room for rigs. There are no services in the RV area, but the Casino is less than 2 miles from the Los Algodones International border crossing, making it a convenient place to shop or eat in Mexico. The Casino offers a variety of dining options, including a sports bar, buffet, grill, and steakhouse. RVers can register their RV and pay at the gift shop for a free players card. Security comes by to collect payment for camping, which is $15.00 per night, $30.00 per week, or $275.00 for three months. Free water is available at the Casino to fill jugs. There are no numbered sites, but the area is sheltered from wind and has lots of trees, including palms, for shade. Verizon Cell gets three bars and Mifi gets two. Dumping and filling with fresh water is available at nearby Pilot Knob RV Resort or Sans End Resort for $15.00 or $20.00 respectively. Los Algodones is almost within walking distance, but it is advisable to drive due to the heat. Casino security does not allow drinking alcoholic beverages outside of rigs, as it could jeopardize their liquor license. The RV parking area is free, but can get very crowded. A three night pass is available at the gift shop for $10 with a casino card. Semi potable water and a dump is just down the road for $10.
