This campground is a great option for those visiting Joshua Tree National Park. It is conveniently located near the downtown area of Yucca Valley and is well-groomed and well-lit at night. The hookups are in good condition, with water, power, and sewer, though there is no cable connection. There is a picnic table and tree at each site and the ground cover is large gravel, making it difficult to walk dogs. The owner is friendly and helpful, but the owners son can be difficult to deal with. The park is basic and the amenities are limited, but it is a good place to stay for a night or two. There is a small pull-through site, but it is usually occupied by a long-term guest. Be aware that there is a hump coming in and the space may not be large enough for larger rigs. There is also evidence of broken beer bottles mixed in with the gravel, so watch your step.
