One Mile Campground is a great spot for RV camping in Taylor Canyon, Colorado. The campground is well maintained and the sites are large, private and surrounded by aspens, wildflowers, and pines. The views of the red rock cliffs across the street are beautiful and the river just on the other side helps to drown out the highway noise. There is electricity available at the campground, and though its primitive (vault toilets), it has 20/30/50 amp power. The campground is spotless and the hosts keep everything very clean. There is a water spigot near the bathroom and a dump site in Gunnison, 15 miles up the canyon. The campground is full most weekdays and every weekend, so reservations are recommended. It is a great spot for hiking, fishing, rafting, and mountain biking, and the Taylor River provides a nice background.
