Great spot below Crested Butte. Nice camping area for tents near the river. Close to the highway. Rosy Lane Campground is an idyllic spot nestled in the Gunnison National Forest along the Taylor River. The heavily treed campground is the perfect place to relax and take in the beauty of nature. Deer and occasionally a bear can be spotted in the area, and the river is a great place to fish or just sit and listen to the water. The campground has one restroom building with vault toilets that are kept very clean, and there is community water available, though no electric hookups. There are plenty of access points to the river for fishing, rafting, and more. The campground also has some sites that have been refurbished with paved pads and heavy metal picnic tables. The area is full of wildlife and springtime flora, and there are bears and mountain lions in the area. It is a great spot for a getaway, and it is close to Gunnison and Crested Butte. There is no RV dump station in the area, but there is one nearby in Tall Texan RV park near Gunnison.

From The Campground
Rosy Lane Campground is a beautiful campground located on the banks of the Taylor River in the Grand Mesa Uncompahgre and Gunnison National Forests. The campground has 20 campsites and is close to the Fossil Ridge Wilderness Area, which is great for hiking, backpacking, and horseback riding. The site is also perfect for fishing, with a trail from the campground providing access to the gold medal waters of the Taylor River. Please note that there is no water available during the 2023 season.
