This campground is the perfect spot for a peaceful getaway. Located 13 miles east of Antonito, Colorado, the campground is situated in a beautiful high valley at an elevation of 8,440 ft. with stunning views of the surrounding mountains. Visitors can enjoy a variety of activities such as fishing in the nearby Conejos River, riding the steam engine from Antonito to Chama, NM, or exploring the nearby National Forest Service land. The campground offers a large fire ring, covered area with picnic tables and a charcoal grill, and a playground for the kids. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful, and provide free coffee for visitors. Unfortunately, the campground does not have cell phone service or reliable WIFI, but it makes up for this with its peaceful setting and great day trips nearby.
