Blue Spruce Campground is the perfect getaway for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Located deep within the San Juan National Forest, the campground is surrounded by tall pine trees, granite cliffs, and a babbling creek, providing a serene and peaceful atmosphere. The park is well-maintained, with helpful staff and owners who greet you by name. Campsites are equipped with full hookups, campfire rings, and small patio slabs at the door side, as well as shade and wifi. There is a camp store, laundry, library, workout room, bicycles, playground, event center, and weekly activities. The mountain village of Vallecito Lake is only a short drive away, and offers two small markets and several good restaurants. The park is a great base-camp for exploring the sites in southwest Colorado, including Silverton, Creede, and all of the off-roading adventures in the general area. Blue Spruce also offers Direct TV hookups, and there is a pool table, covered pavilion with tables, hiking trail, and a nice club room with a kitchen. The attention to detail is evident in the little stone-surrounded planted areas with flowers and native shrubs. With curbside trash pick-up, weekly pancake breakfast, and biweekly pot luck dinners, Blue Spruce is the perfect place to stay for a peaceful and enjoyable nature camping experience.
