This campground is located in a beautiful part of the country, but unfortunately offers no views. The sites are crowded, and not very level, with some being narrow. The bathrooms are dirty and the staff is apathetic, and there are weeds taller than a child. The pay showers have mold, and the laundry is expensive. The cable TV advertised is only available in 4 sites, and only offers 20 channels. There is a nice playground for kids, and the nearby Gilpin County rec center offers swimming and showering for $3 a day. The ride up the canyon has several twists and sharp turns, but is not too bad. Overall, this campground is very run down and it is obvious that there have been no repairs or maintenance since it stopped being a KOA years ago.

We offer RV, cabins, and tent sites nestled between colorful aspens with beautiful mountain views. We are surrounded by amenities including; fishing, hiking, and biking trails at Golden Gate Canyon State Park, Casinos at Black Hawk and Central City, indoor, year-round swimming with a water slide at The Gilpin County Community Center, and we are just off the Peak to Peak Scenic Byway for breathtaking Colorado views.
