. This campground offers a picturesque setting along the West Dolores River, with breathtaking views and plenty of outdoor activities nearby. The river drowns out any road noise and provides a peaceful atmosphere. The private land next door has a few beautiful horses, and the campground is pet friendly. The camp host, Tim, is very friendly and keeps the campground clean and tidy. The electric sites are sardined together, so there is not much privacy, but the non-electric sites are much larger and more private. The bathrooms are clean and there are fire pits and picnic tables available. Campsite number 8 goes pretty far back and can fit multiple tents. Unfortunately, there are no showers onsite, but the campground is very close to attractions like Mesa Verde National Park and Geyser Spring. The drinking water is safe, but it has a brownish color and an unpleasant taste.
