West Dolores Campground is a picturesque and peaceful campground located along the West Dolores River. It offers a variety of campsites for both tent and RV campers, with fire rings and picnic tables at each site. Firewood is sold by the camp host. The campground is close to great hiking trails, and is a great mid point to base up to The Meadows, Fish Creek, or back down to Dolores or over 145 down to Rico. It is also great for water sports, as the entire reservoir spreads out in front of you. There are vault toilets with lighting, and water spigots throughout the campground, although filling RV tanks with water is not allowed. There is no host or firewood, and there are no sinks or hand sanitizer stations provided. The campground is usually booked up for the weekend, but single night sites can be found with no reservation.
