Hinman Park Campground is a primitive campground located near Elk River in the Routt National Forest, 22 miles north of Steamboat Springs, Colorado. The campground has 13 single-family campsites that can accommodate tents, trailers, and RVs up to 22 feet long. Each site has a table, fire ring, and grate. The campground is first-come, first-serve and usually open early June through October. Amenities include two vault toilets, and there is no water available. Cell service is also not available in the area. Outdoor recreation in the area includes fishing, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, ATVing, and picnicking. Wildlife viewing is also good in the area.
