What others are saying
This campground is located in the beautiful San Isabel National Forest, just off Highway 165. It offers a variety of camping spots, including sites along a bluff, a large open field, and plenty of trees and trails. It is a great spot for a one night trip, although some highway noise can be heard. There is no toilet nearby, but a clean shower house is available for use a short drive away. The campground is also close to Bishops Castle and offers 30 amp electric and central water for $15/night. It is a peaceful and quiet spot, with nice views of the valley and surrounding mountains. Unfortunately, the campground is in need of some help, as it appears to be a mobile home park being run as a campground. There is also an additional $10 fee to dump, which should be stated upfront before making a reservation. Despite these drawbacks, it is a good spot for a short stay and most campers report a pleasant experience.
