This campground is located on the Rio Grande River in Creede, Colorado, a few miles out of town. All sites are back in on grass/gravel with a concrete patio and picnic table. The park is small but clean and neat, with 24 sites and enough room for large rigs. The utilities are in the right places and Wi-Fi works fine and Verizon service is good. The sky is open for satellite and the night sky is beautiful. The park is surrounded by mountains and offers stunning views of the valley and the mountains. The Rio Grande runs through the property with a lovely bridge crossing it. There is a restaurant on site, Antlers, which serves excellent pork chops and offers outdoor seating along the river. There is also a children’s play area adjoining the site and a large grassy area along the south edge of the park. The park also offers live music on its back porch overlooking the river from Thursday through Saturday night. The nightly rate is based on monthly stay. It is a great place to stay for a few days and explore the area, with fishing available 50 yards away and the Creede Rep theater nearby.
