This campground is located on the north fork of the Big Thompson river, providing a serene and peaceful environment. The campground has recently made improvements to the playground and bathrooms, and the tent campsites are equipped with picnic tables and fire rings. Unfortunately, there are long-term campers that do not maintain their sites to the same standard, and the campground can quickly flood in case of torrential rains. The lady who runs the place is friendly and helpful, but the campground is not suitable for loud and rowdy campers. The office is hard to find at the other end of the campground, and if you call ahead you are often quoted one price only to arrive and be told another.
