KOA Riverside North is a beautiful campground located on the Animas River, offering stunning views and a variety of family-friendly amenities. Guests can enjoy movie nights, a cafe with hamburgers, sandwiches, side options, ice cream, and other frozen delights, a pool, game room, playground, and restaurant. The campground is clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. Pull-through super sites are available and offer a picnic table with umbrella, an LP grill with full propane tank, and a fire ring. There are also cabins, a yurt, and two modern tiny houses for rent. Wi-Fi is available, but can be slow, and Verizon 3G works great. The park is close enough to Durango to access the Silverton Train, but far enough out of town to avoid the traffic and people. The sites are a bit close together, but the park is worth the minor inconveniences.
