Westerly is a small 24 spot full hook up RV park on the north end of Durango Colorado. Each site has a picnic table and fire pit, and there is a dog run. The park is situated close to the highway and the road to the Durango Hot Springs, which has recently been remodeled. The hosts are very friendly and accommodating, and the park is backed up to a stream which provides some nature sounds. There is no restroom or shower facility on the grounds, but there are water, 50-amp and sewer hookups. It is close to Silverton, Ouray and Purgatory for outdoor activities, and there is a gourmet grocery store across the highway. The sites are nicely spaced, with well kept grassy areas and picnic tables between the solid packed gravel pads. The camp host is helpful and diligent in keeping the park tidy. Westerly is open in the winter and offers a 50% discount at the hot springs across the street. The rate is $45 plus tax, and the park is a good option for an overnight stay if other Durango locations are full.
