Sylvan Lake State Park is a great getaway for nature lovers located in the White River National Forest. It is home to a 42 acre lake and offers activities such as fishing, canoeing, kayaking, paddle boarding, hiking, biking and snowshoeing. It is possible to camp or stay in one of the cabins or Yurts available. The campground is basic with vault toilets and water taps but the surrounding area has plenty to do. The Town of Eagle is only 15 miles away and offers restaurants, coffee houses, pottery and art activities, a microbrewery, an ice rink and a public pool. The lake is beautiful, but the campsites can be a bit close together and exposed due to the lack of shade. This park is great for families, but it is best to avoid weekends due to the popularity of the area.
From The Campground
