There are no hookups, but there is a water spigot at the entrance and a dump station. The campground is located in Rocky Mountain National Park and offers stunning views of the mountains and meadows. It is a great place to base camp and explore the park. The sites are small and unlevel, but the benefits of staying in the park more than compensate for the lack of modern amenities. There is a wide variety of sites, full sun, shady, back-in, pull-over, large, small, etc. There are no hookups, but there is a water spigot at the entrance and a dump station. There is also a picnic table, tent pad and bear proof food storage box at each site. The campground is located near a large meadow where elk gather, offering great opportunities for wildlife viewing and photography. There is also a fire ring at each site, but wood is available for a small fee.

From The Campground

Other campgrounds: take a note from Moraine Park because this is how it’s supposed to be done. There’s not a bad site here, so don’t worry about getting stuck with one next to the outhouse. Scattered throughout a forest with gently sloping hills and surrounded by the Rocky Mountains, the sites here leave very little (if anything) to be desired. It’s the perfect spot to return to after a long day of exploring the park. We’d recommend starting those explorations with the Alluvial Fan trail, where you can climb up boulders alongside a spectacular waterfall.
