Located in Estes Park, Spruce Lake RV Resort is a good basecamp for exploring Rocky Mountain National Park. The sites are back-in and organized, offering alternating spots so no one is behind you, other than a tow vehicle. The park sits in a valley with a pond and stream running alongside it. The staff is friendly and helpful, and laundry room is nice, though a bit pricey. WiFi is decent, and TMobile reception is excellent. Verizon reception is just okay. Pets are welcome, but no pet fences are allowed. The park is near the entrance to RMNP, making it convenient for those who value a short drive to the park. However, the place has a lot of rules, and many additional fees for services that should be free. The sites are small and close together, and some are not worth their higher price point. Some spots offer mountain views, but others do not.
