The views, wildlife, and geology of Golden Gate Canyon State Park are stunning. With yellow aspens in the fall, its an ideal spot for classic Colorado camping. The park is located close to Denver, and the drive up into the park is beautiful and offers spectacular mountain panoramic views. The campground has a variety of sites for all sizes, shapes, and styles of campers, trailers, and tents, as well as cabins and yurts to rent. There are facilities for washing clothes and dishes, and even vending machines. The park features moderate hiking trails with stunning pine and Aspen views, a high elevation lake, and access to fishing at Tallman Ranch Pond. The park is filled with wildlife, including turkeys, moose, and coyotes. There is also a historical cabin site, and a short walk to a small lake. The campground offers electric hookups, very large and clean showers, and is close to Boulder for a quick day trip.

From The Campground

Reverend's Ridge features 97 sites and accommodates trailers, pickup campers and tents. Sites 1-59 have electric hookups and can accommodate RV's, rooftop/vehicle camping, and tents. Sites 60-97 do not have electricity and are tent only (RV/rooftop camping/camping in vehicles is not allowed). Facilities include flush toilets, shower and laundry facilities, a dump station, and some electrical hookups. Reverend's Ridge Campground is open year-round, but the shower building and dump station are closed for the winter.
