Blue Mesa Point is a rustic campground located near the Blue Mesa Reservoir and the Black Canyon of the Gunnison. The area is beautiful and the campground is clean and the people are friendly. There are 50 amp or better hookups with water and sewer, a picnic table, fire ring with grill, and a convenience store. The store has all the necessities and even some fun things like glow necklaces for the kids. The owners have a big lovable black lab and offer a Jr. Ranger program at the Black Canyon of the Gunnison and Curecanti. There are 4-wheel trails and you can rent a boat at Lake Fork Marina which is just 2 minutes away. There is WiFi, but it is slow and Verizon cell service is not available. There are two large dogs that wander the property and the office is not well kept. There is a $5.00 charge for each use of the shower or bathroom. This is a great campground for those looking to explore the area and take advantage of the outdoor activities.

Blue Mesa Point is a campground that overlooks the largest body of water in Colorado, Blue Mesa Reservoir, and is the gateway to The Black Canyon of the Gunnison. The campground offers fully furnished on-site RVs for daily and weekly rental. It is a great place for family fun and to get reacquainted with yourself and nature. You can have your boat in the water in 5 minutes at Lake Fork Marina or be on an ATV ride through thousands of miles of the most amazing country you have ever seen.
