Crested Butte RV Park is a great place to stay for a day trip or a longer vacation. Located in Gunnison, Colorado, the park offers easy access to nearby sights such as Crested Butte, Salida, Blue Mesa Reservoir, Lake City, and numerous Forest Service roads meandering up into the mountains. The park has a variety of amenities, including two large and small dog parks with lush grass, a grassy area for croquet, and a comfortable sitting porch with a gas grill/heating stove between the seats. The pull-thru sites are large enough for the largest rigs and the back-in sites have trees only on their northern ends, leaving southern exposures required for good satellite reception. There is no extra charge for electricity and there are weekly social hours and Friday night pot luck dinners with guest speakers from the local area. The campground is level and made of granite gravel with small grassy areas and picnic tables between sites.

Three Rivers Resort & Outfitting is a riverside resort located 10 miles north of Gunnison in Almont, CO. They offer vacation cabins, RV sites, and a pro-fly shop. Outfitting services include fishing, rafting, and kayaking. During the summer, they have a Smokehouse Grill. They also offer plenty of winter recreation.
