The park is home to a resident Bald Eagle, ospry, coyote and big horn sheep. A train runs along the other side of the river maybe once a day taking loads of gypsum dry wall from the plant. The park is rather rundown, with large weeds intruding on access roads, the patio area having seen better days and only one overworked guy on duty. The lack of sewer connections, no cable and Wi-Fi, and noise from the freeway make this park less desirable. However, the large deck area and tables for gatherings or just lying back and enjoying the river and the view make it a reasonable option for an overnight stay.
