Lake Hasty Campground is a well maintained park located in the Lower Arkansas River Valley. It offers 30 and 50 amp electrical service at each of its 109 campsites, as well as a variety of other amenities such as a beach, boat ramp, boating, fishing, hiking, and interpretive programs. The campground is popular year-round and offers great fishing on Hasty Lake and boating on the reservoir side. The sites are level gravel with a fire ring and concrete pad under the shaded picnic table, and the park is filled with mature cottonwoods for shade. There are also several playgrounds for young children, geocaches, and plenty of wildlife, including birds, beavers, and skunks. The park also has a camper services building, dump station, group pavilions, group picnic area, handicap fishing access, laundry facilities, pay phones, pay showers, and a visitors center. Although there is no water at the sites, there are many water fill locations and a long, wide, 4-lane dump. It is important to note that Colorado state parks require a $6/day Daily Pass in addition to the campsite fee.

John Martin Reservoir State Park offers year-round camping with two campgrounds: Lake Hasty Campground and The Point Campground. Lake Hasty Campground has 109 sites with electrical hookups, a camper services building, fish-cleaning station, dump station, and playground. The Point Campground has 104 basic sites with no electrical hookups or water. Both campgrounds are pet-friendly and offer access to the reservoir for boating and fishing.
