This campground is located in a stunning location with breathtaking mountain views overlooking Twin Lakes, and is a short drive from Buena Vista and Leadville. It is a boondocking campground with no electric hookups, so bring your generator and water jugs to fill up at City Market. The sites are between trees with decent spacing, though some are on the short side and may not fit larger motorhomes. The campground is in need of maintenance, with tall grass, broken 50 amp plugs, and trash scattered throughout. Despite this, the views of the Twin Lakes area are spectacular and the Internet is fast. It is a great place to stay for a few nights, but be sure to bring a fly swatter and watch out for ticks and fleas.
